Contact Lenses
Contact Lenses
Contact lens technology has changed dramatically in the past few years. New and improved materials and designs mean more comfortable and safer lenses that can give you better vision correction than ever before. Contact lenses for astigmatism are better than ever, and even if you’ve been told in the past that you could not wear contacts, it may be possible today! If you are approaching the age where you will soon need bifocals or reading glasses, ask us about additional options for multi–focal contact lenses.
Contact lenses must be properly fitted to ensure a comfortable and healthy experience for you. Since everybody’s eyes are different, the selection of lens technology will depend on your specific needs and exam findings. Dr. Davis has extensive experience with fitting both soft and rigid contact lenses for a wide variety of purposes. If you have never worn contacts before, we will help you understand how to use and care for your lenses to make sure your eyes stay healthy while wearing contacts.
After your initial fitting and prescription, if you choose to use disposable contacts, we can have your lenses shipped directly to your home at no charge, or you can pick them up at our office during regular business hours.

Advanced contact lens technology has changed dramatically in the past few years making it possible for more people to enjoy wearing contact lenses than ever before! Our corneal topographer will map the unique shape of your cornea so that a more precise contact lens can be designed just for you. New and improved materials and designs mean more comfortable and safer lenses that can give you better vision correction.
People choose to wear contact lenses for many different reasons, which include:
- Better peripheral vision
- Do not collect moisture; like snow, rain, condensation, or sweat
- Harder to misplace than traditional glasses
- Outdoor activities, such as sports
- Normal daily wear
- To just change your appearance of the eyes
No matter why you choose contact lenses, we can find the right contact lens that is the best fit for you and your eyes.
Contact Lens Fitting

- Bifocal contact lenses – contact lenses to help you with near vision issues
- Astigmatism correcting contacts – contact lenses that will correct your astigmatism to give you the best vision possible

Dr. Davis is also the only optometrist in the area to be trained and certified in fitting and dispensing GVSS lenses. Gentle Vision Shaping System lenses are specially designed vision retainers to gently and gradually reshape the front of the eye to reduce or eliminate nearsightedness or astigmatism. The vision retainers are similar to contact lenses and are worn at night while sleeping. They are then removed upon awakening to provide clear vision without glasses or contact lenses. If you are interested, ask us about more information.
If you have been told in the past that you could not wear contacts, it may be possible today! Call us to schedule a contact lens exam and discover why contact lenses may be the right fit for you!
Note: Contact lenses are considered a medical device; DO NOT share your contacts with anyone. Sharing your contacts lenses is one of the leading causes of eye infections in the United States.
